The purpose of SCSGC's Public Service program is to provide and sponsor aerospace-related programs and activities for "students of all ages and professions." The state space grant office is a conduit of NASA information for the media and the public. The state office also maintains the Consortium's website and acts as a NASA speakers bureau. Campus Directors are an information source for their campuses and their local communities regarding NASA activities. Campus Directors fund and help organize NASA related meetings and symposiums.
