Kathy Sullivan Fellowship
As a NASA Mission Specialist, a veteran of three Space Shuttle missions, and as a
geologist and oceanographer, Dr. Kathryn Sullivan has gained extensive experience both

Pre-Service Teacher Scholarship
SCSGC Pre-service Teacher Scholarship funds may be used for such expenses as:
1) reducing tuition burden; 2) covering travel and registration expenses for attending
science and math education workshops or conferences for the purpose of professional
development; 3) purchasing supplies for student teaching activities; or 4) other supportive
activities that lead to the successful professional development and eventual graduation

NASA Student Internships
The SCSGC will provide support for junior and senior college students to participate
in the various research programs: NASA Academy at Goddard or Ames, The Undergraduate
Research Program (USRP) run by the Virginia Space Grant Consortium, Goddard's USRP,
Kennedy's USRP, Langley's LARSS, Marshall's USRP or Contracting Internship Program
(NCIP), or any independent research project at a NASA Center. These programs enable
